++Another Distant Vision++

I was desperate to the point of such limits that any flick could have done for me. Three months of not watching any new releases just made me desperate , despite the fact that I knew I am ending up for a Bollywood masala package with a Macho, a Bimbo , lots of Action, loose script, excellent cinematography and some songs stuffed in here and there. In short a complete success formulae or in Mumbaiya terminology a timepass!!

Tracing the steps of Aa Dekhen Zara and 8*10 tasveer , we get another “sight and vision”movie , “Kal Kisne Dekha” . Nihal Singh (Jackky Bhagnani with a double k) from Chandigarh is a visionary, and dreams of higher studies only to be interrupted by buckets of water by his bebe( Archana Puran Singh looking every bit picked up from Punjab).Dream materializes and so does the Dream Girl Meesha( Vaishali Desai) , fitting the shoes of a catty bimbette. Dreams get Interrupted! By vicious plans of Professor Verma(Rishi Kapoor with an ill fitted wig) to bomb aamchi Mumbai. So what ? we do have a visionary, all in one gentle yet brawny Nihal to save from the catastrophe!! And if you thought that this was the year of movies with abrupt ends, this one will appear as an Ace, hit and blink, and you see “The End”!!

Jackky Bhagnani can pass out as a better version of Uday Chopra. Better when compared to likes of Adhyayan Suman and Harman Baweja . His potential to burn the dance floor and smile minus the lipsticks so known to Uday is a bit relieving. He deserves a second chance for sure.

Vaishali Desai looks a complete version of “Before using an anti wrinkle cream”, towering over the macho Jackky looking an equal in muscle power. Her cosy smiles and shy demeanor appears fake. But such is the fate of any actress who is launched with a wannabe new hero.

Rishi Kapoor seems to be earning his bread and butter from such roles. An ill fitted wig to an ill fitted role, he is wasted in the movie.

Archana Puran Singh and Ritesh Deshmukh(in a guest appearance) do manage to bring on smiles to the face.They actually are the reasons for the movie being bearable, wherever it is.

The saving grace of the movie is excellent cinematography and locales. Shot in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, the backdrop is scenic and relieving. Music By Sajid Wajid cannot be much commented upon because considering the caliber of the movie its appropriate. The songs are also shot excellently and few have hummable lyrics by Sameer like”Aalam Gujarane Ko”sung By Sonu Nigam and Susie and “Aasman Jhuk Gaya” by Shreya Ghosal and Shaan.

Vivek Sharma has obviously done the movie with a clear aim or instruction, of giving as much footage to Jackky as possible and he does a complete justice there. On and on the movie might get a paisa vasool with masses becaz it fits completely into the requirement. For those looking for something creditable , go and watch Frozen instead, if its running in a theatre near you.
