When I entered the film seeing the title "Kalluri" I felt it must be college story but, latter I felt it is just remodification of of our old love story. When a film showcasing a girl mingiling with a boy in a social manner, that we call it as socialism. But society see them only as lovers, even though they might be friends, classmates etc......
This particular aspect of society is only depicted in this film.
Lets us go thru the story , where there is a bunch of school classmates (pls note this is a flash back sceen) who travel in a bus to college.Totaly there are 5 boys and 4 girls. When they reach college they find a filty rich aiyangar girl. Now their freinds count comes to 10.There is a leader who has done her role as best advisor to her (friend) circle. The leader had a trust that a boy and a girl who speak and laugh together can remain as friends than being lovers. To dis proove the theory she struggles a lot but our film makers cannot make a film without love aspect , so love enters between friends. Both the girl and boy who love each other try to suppress their love without showing outside. But in their educational tour they bring out their love , but that love becomes useless as the bus in which they had been boarded was set to fire where3 girls are burt to charcoal, due to a political problem in A.P.Thus kalluri comes to an end where all students gather to pay homage for their classmates. The opening sceen of the film is where lot of college students clear the bushes and grasses in the memorial site where their friends r been burnt.
The main plus is how the director has depicted a love between a white skinned upper class girl and brown toned lower class boy , an athlete.
The cinematography has captured ever good aspects in the film.
The songs are ok.
The -ve aspect of the film is the climax.
The way in which the bus has been burnt and how the three students were not able to escape from bus was not shown properly. The climax seems to be some thing which does not link the story.
