Never go to any of the shops of Kalyan Silks. Their Sales People are like bunch of thieves. I did the shopping for my wedding from one of the branches of Kalyan Silks and it turned into a complete Nightmare. One year after the marriage and I still regret going there.
They added the Sarees that I had asked them to remove, while selecting the sarees, in the bill. If you buy anything more than 3000Rs they are so quick to cut the blouse, so that you cannot return it. You select and they cut the blouse immediately.
They will be running behind you with a scissor. When I am paying money I dont want someone touching my Saree.
As a stranger in the town I was not aware of the store and how many floors it had and also I don have much knowledge of the sarees as I live outside India.I was ready to spend money.
By the time I reached the top floor where they kept the expensive Sarees, they had cut the blouses of all the sarees that I had previously selected and I could not do anything. My bill had already crossed 75, 000 and couldn’t throw those Sarees that I had selected.
Mind you I did not even reach the billing and they had cut the blouses as soon as I selected the Sarees. It was a complete mess and a very sad experience. You dont get any value for money going to these stores. Better go to the local small store they will have good stuff and they would not be cheating you.
