Let's leave the sex out of this one

Let me elaborate on the title of the review to begin with. Kama Sutra at the very mention of the name gives you an idea of what the film would be all about. And the sad part is that people do not get beyond the physicality depicted in this film.

If you do leave the sex out of the film and concentrate on the story there is much more to this film.

There is love (but, of course), there is revenge, there is jealousy, there is sacrifice. In fact one gets to see all the nine rasas of life.

The protagonist of the film is a young woman who sees herself as equal to anyone else. Even compares herself to the princess and is disturbed by the fact that all her life she has had to live with the rejects of the princess. And to hit back at her, one night before the princess’ wedding sleeps with the prince.

Quite a human tendency to feel important.

But is marked an outcast for such a shameless act. On her journey to nowhere she meets with this artist who falls in love with her.

But again like in life there are questions about the genuinity of love which lead to certain actions and the consequences there on.

The performances by all the actors is highly commendable.

Even the production value of the film is of quite a high standard.

To sum it up, the film is not all sex, but has a beautiful story which definitely touches you.
