Kama Sutra

I have just become a fan of Mira Nair, and as a result decided to see some of her movies. I decided to view Kama Sutra. I found the Indians in the movie very beautiful. The two male leads were extremely handsome, and that is putting it mildly. Sometimes beauty is all a film needs, especially if the beauty is accompanied by great acting skills. The female leads were also very beautiful, and also extremely talented. Kama Sutra is about love, betrayal, guilt, lust and jealousy. There are a whole host of human frailties that are revealed, you simply have to look for them. The movie depicts humanity in the extreme. How being on the short end of the proverbial stick can make us stronger or destroy us depending on our strengths or our weakness. In this movie the fight is between good and evil, and what is realized is that good does not always succeed, and evil does not always fail. I found that the basic nature of the individual can be altered when love is mutual. In this movie you see the aftermath of love that is not returned. When the protagonists pursue love that is unavailable, what is revealed is the lengths that one will go to to achieve their hearts desire, and this does include murder in the first degree.
