There is a sweetshop in kamat lokaruchi, Ramanagara. On Feb 15, 2012 after having lunch at kamat lokaruchi, I bought Dharwad Pedas from that shop. Lady manning that sweetshop gave me fresh peda when I asked for a sample. But while packing, she packed very old Pedas. The quality was so bad that it takes good amount of effort to cut it or mash it by hand. I have never seen such stale sweets being sold anywhere else. Needless to say that it left me surprised and left a bad taste in mouth.
Customers buy sweets from that shop not for its quality but because of its association with a reputed brandname like Kamth and the fact that it is in your premises.
I shared this feedback with Kamath too but no response till date.
