I am posting this review to make you aware of the unauthorized service centers of yamaha. I won a Yamaha Gladiator purchased in 2006. For the last 5 years my bike was in good condition with no problem. I used to get it serviced from Yamaha Authorized service station in Vikhroli, Mumbai. Last month I called up Kamla motors to know about an authorized service station. He sent me to Hannibal Motors near Amar Cinema in Chembur, Mumbai.
I had asked to following things to be done on my bike:
Servicing
Diesel Wash
Chain cleaning and tightening.
Oil change
Liner Spring change for back brake.
I got my bike at around 9 pm in the night. When next day when I took to ride for office, was surprised to that it stopped at around midway at
around speed of 65km/hr. It again stopped when I was returning back, and now it has become a common practice of stopping of bike after 5 kms.
Also, came to know it morning that bike wasn’t cleaned properly, The chain was loose and made sounds on speedbraker. That means even that work
was not carried properly. The brake was a bit loose from before. And one more problem apart from stopping of bike is engine heating too fast.
Literally I was shocked. When complaint to yamaha the said it was not an authorized service center. It was a sub dealer not a direct dealer. They also sent a letter to the Yamaha stating they have solved the problem without even bothering to do anything.
I request to all of you, if possible take your bikes to good places of servicing or to a local servicing person whom you know. This place is total rubbish and of no use. Kamla motors totally misguided me by sending to Hannibal motors. I am still fighting to get my bike in good shape. Any suggestions of good service centers for Bikes always welcome. Please send any.
