Kamzor Kadi Kaun is bound to be compared with other shows and specially ’Kaun Bane Ga Carorepati’ and the hostess to Sri Amitabh Bacchan. It has a great heroine as a the hostess, who appears many a times at discomfort doing the role of a no nonsense hostess with very strict rules, shrewed, uttering strong comments in shades of black.
Here the participants have to play with wit and strategy and not get disturbed by the emotions of others. Well it will take sometime for the indian viewers to digest such a show, but many will enjoy the the tricks being played by the players to many a times vote out a strong opponent. As a show it still can improve considering the proven abilities of Basu and his team. In my opinion - the show can do with some less amount of rudeness and thus avoid the feelings of jealousy and shame.
India’s society being emotional and with strong values, may find the tricks played on screen to be against the Indian ideologies, slowly we may accept this show in the spirit of a game show.
We haven’t been introduced to the pattern of selection for the show till now. Well don’t know ... how many people will want to play this games of strategy and wisdom with the gut to digest insult.
The canned laughter just adds to the insult. At least the laughter part shouldn’t be there.
We will have to wait and see how the show progresses ... for better or the worse ... which may also depend on the type of people who come to participate and how they play the game ... will all the players be manipulative or will they play straight. And how Ms Neena Gupta handles the show!
