Don’t read any more reviews, don’t consider the ill designed communication coming your way, the program is really great. Though it is a take off on TWL-The Weak Link and is an Indian Adoption like KBC, but I think after the KBC went off air Lock Stock and Barrel, this show is a much needed relief as it does not pamper the participants but runs them down instead.
I feel this is a reality show where true human emotions are brought out and the way participants fight amongst themselves for the money (mind you the sum isn’t small) is simply great. No one is holding the moral high round and its pure greed at work and most of them confess to it too. After viewing so much of hypocrisy scattered all over the idiot box, this show does give us a glimpse into reality.
Neena Gupta has been criticized for being rude and arrogant, but in my opinion she is very mild keeping in mind the way the so-called “team members” try and throw each other out mercilessly. Neena Gupta needs to be more rude/ arrogant. Right now she repeats a lot of words and will certainly have to be creative in her choice of words for the show to be more entertaining.
The show is about a team playing the usual Question and answer rounds and one member is thrown out in each round( Kamzor Kadi) by popular vote. The best part is that the one thrown out may not be a weak link, in other words a dumbo can also survive till the end as participants try and throw smart members to improve their chances. This is done to reduce competition, as in the end only two members are left to battle it out for the booty. Unlike other game shows here only the Winner Takes it all and no prizes for the runners up. As the competition is cut throat and you need not be the smartest to win must also know how to survive against all odds. Doesn’t it sound like real life already? So, take my advice and watch it on all Tuesdays on Star Plus. Star Plus has another winner in KKK.
