A MODERN CLASSIC

This is the only book which grabbed my attention in the first sentence. We hear of books which are superb but this takes the cake and the bakery as well as the baker’s wife.believe me, I am not exaggerating. This is the story of two men both born at the same time on opposite sides of the world and both destined to become bitter enemies with only one victor in the end.One is born in Poland and his name is Abel Rosnovski.the other is born in England and his name is William Kane. How they grow up and how their paths cross is what the whole book about. If you have not read this book, you are certainly missing out on something.I strongly recommend it.It is not as serious as it sounds. There is humor throughout the book.I loved every word of it.And guess what?Jeffrey Archer has done a equally good job in the sequel of this book namely, The Prodigal Daughter. This one starts off where the other one left off.The ambitions of the daughter are far more loftier than that of the father.Read then how she realises them.I personally feel that these two were Jeffrey Archer’s best works in the novel series.Of course his short stories are always good enough, but nothing to compare to these two.Catch up on your reading and have a nice weekend.
