Good but over-rated. Cinematography is great, good story and script, tightly executed, never gets boring, good performances by all and high production values ….. BUT… nothing here that is unique or never done before in other Indian cinema.
Some of the reviews seem to be indicate as if this almost the greatest movie ever made or the next best thing after sliced bread and THAT IS CLEARLY NOT the case by any stretch of the imagination, unless this is the first ever Indian movie you are seeing in your life.
All of the themes etc have been well even better explored in other Indian movies.
Even the so-called climactic last 30mins of the movie that some reviewers seem to go crazy over, it’s good but not as if it is epic or never seen before (For eg. Jyotika has done a good even better job in the climax of the Rajini hit Chandramukhi, which is better than this movie just to compare)
So yes it’s worth seeing but don’t expect to be stunned or awed as if it’s a religious experience.
It’s a good well scripted well shot movie that tells a good story well but that’s it - nothing more nothing less.
