Recently, me and my friends had an outing plan. We decided to travel to a different place which was Kanyakumari.
Last weekend we spent our entire time there which was one of the best moments in our life.
It is the best place to travel around.
We traveled through train which was around 12 hrs from Chennai. It was about 706 kms to reach Kanyakumari.
Also You can travel through bus or plane.
Nearest airport will be thiruvananthapuram airport.
Now it was a summer time and the weather was good. Actually summer is the best time to visit this place.
There were several places to visit. I will share my personal experience here:
Sunset view point which was the best spot for me. The sunrise and sunset here was completely awesome. This is one of the best place for nature lovers.
Vivekananda Rock Memorial is one of the small island of kanyakumari. It is completely very neat and one of the good place to visit.
Thiruvalluvar statue which was behind to vivekananda rock memorial which was 133 feet; very poetic. Good spot to capture photos.
Kanyakumari beach is the next place where the view of the beach was completely good and it was one of the good place to travel with friends. This was little crowded while we visited. There were some other beache like sanguthurai beach, but we don’t have time to visit those places.
Thanumalayan temple-sthanumalayan temple where we can worship the Mummurthiys such as shiva-brahma-vishnu at a time. One of the best temple in south India. Here we can also worship Hanuman.
Padmanabhapuram Palace one of the oldest palace which shows the life of maharajas. Good to visit. Spend some time here to visit this palace completely.
Thirparappu falls which is 2 hours from kanyakumari. We can take a bath here. One of the good falls.
Vattakottai Fort which was the most excellent place which was calm near beach. Good place to capture photos and good place to relax.
Still there were several places like Gandhi Memorial, Baywatch Amusement park, etc.
Due to lack of time we couldn’t able to visit all those places.
We stayed in Hotel Sangam which was on the main road. Very good place. As we stayed only one and half days, it was a nice place for us and cost was also moderate.
Still there were several hotels and resorts there which will be more excellent.
It is the one of the safest place. Anyway we have to take care of our own belongings.
Visit Kanyakumari at least once in your life.
