Karachi is the second biggest city in the world. I had been there twice. I really enjoyed my journey. It is Pakistan’s biggest city as well as an economic hub. It had been Pakistan’s capital before 1960.
Karachi’s population is more than 23 million. It’s culture is really very diverse. You will find people from different religions, cultures, races, professional fields as well as traditions.
You will be surprised to know that, it’s elevation is only 8m from the sea level. So it is at a greater risk in case of a tsunami.
Karachi is well known for the hospitality of its inhabitants in Pakistan, but unfortunately, nowadays Karachi is not much good due to political instability as well as crime.
Karachi is also facing problems like, Overpopulation, water Problems and load shedding( the shortage of energy). One of the biggest problems is environmental pollution.
In the Past Karachi used to be considered a very pleasant city for weather . It never faced extreme cold or hot conditions. But nowadays, it is really facing extremely hot conditions. In June, July 2015, many people, I think more than 2000 got died due to extremely hot weather.
Karachi really depicts all cultures, traditions and religions of Pakistan due to its opportunities for employment for all Pakistanis. But Karachi is more famous for Indian immigrants. they speak Urdu but their Urdu is really original.:)
Now, let us go towards the spots best to visit, such as Mizar e Quaid( The tomb of Quaid e Azam), Pakistan Airforce Museum also called PAF museum, Clifton beach(one of the few beaches of Pakistan), Hawks bay, Quaid e Azam House, Ocean Tower, Hilal Park, Karachi Zoo(Also Known as Karachi Garden), Sea view Park, National Academy, Koel gallery, Three Swords Monument, Bin Qasim Park, Safari park, State bank museum, Tooba Mosque, Zainab Market and many more.
