I was longing to have authentic South-Indian food(not the Udipi style) but proper lunch or dinner. I had heard a lot about this place and was very keen on trying it out. I went here with my husband and the moment I set my foot in this place, I knew I had fallen in love. The place looks absolutely breathtaking and had a very positive feel to it.
We were shown to place, inside and from the chairs to the chandeliers, everything looked pretty! We gave our order of Gobi Kempu Bezule that had Cauliflower fried crisp and tossed into some Yogurt with green chillies and curry leaves. My husband called for Tiger Prawns Malabar style.
The Gobi starter was hot, crispy and very mouth-watering. The Prawns were thoroughly cooked and the Malabar masalas made it irresistible. I wanted to have fish and hence we called for Goan style fish curry, with some unpolished red rice, Idiappams and Malabar Parathas. Vazhapoo Thoran was one more veg curry we called for.
The food came to us in amazing wares and the food itself tasted very very delicious. The Goan curry was just perfect and so was the veg gravy. We also called for some Rasam and it was a mix of tangy, sweet and also spicy. We also planned on having a dessert and ordered their Speciality ice-cream- Coffee Almond Fudge, Tamarind and Coconut. TAMARIND ICE-CREAM REALLY? But it was so yummy! To enjoy this, you must have one spoonful of ice-cream, close your eyes and enjoy the taste till it disappears into your stomach.
You must really go here and I assure you, you will have the time of your life.
