I bought this phone on the 6th of October, 2013. I was quite excited because, as soon as I asked for it in the shops, it appeared as if everyone was looking at me in admiration. My son had suggested this phone as he knew of someone who was using it and had a good experience.
However, almost at once, this phone made my life a misery. If I tried to call one person, the phone did strange things and successively dialled many people in my contacts. As it is, I may be considered eccentric at the very least, but Im sure this phone helped make me appear really crazy to many people. Something is wrong with the buttons or whatever they are called.
Eager to do many things on my new Android, I tried but this phone has such bad support systems. Even by email I could not resolve most issues and so, effectively, to date, Ive not used any of the advantages of its being an Android. I cannot use the Internet on it easily or at all. I cannot upload the photos I take on it to my PC(otherwise the camera is decent). I do get to see some emails but that’s all.
Its battery runs down very fast. So it is not a good phone for travel.
There was a Facebook group for this phone but it was full of nerds and geeks and no one who could, in simple terms, help me with all my phone related problems.
I suffer while all my dear ones use whatsapp and all those things!
I know I have the bill somewhere(hopefully!) but as far as I can remember, it cost close to or equal to Rs 10, 000. Now the same shop man will buy it for Rs 2000 or less. What a waste!
I feel dejected as this is the second bad experience with an Indian phone. My husband used to have a Micromax of which he was very proud as we were living in Malaysia and he had bought it on a trip home but soon all the buttons started to come off. Thankfully, it was stolen on the Delhi Metro.
It’s such a pity we do not seem to care for quality and perfection. With a little effort, these phones could make the grade. Even then, if this is all we’re capable of producing, then the customer care should be better.
Until then, I need to sell this one and am wondering what to buy instead.
