I purchased a T9 tablet from Karbonn for first use and playing games, at 512 MB RAM I thought it was good piece of equipment until one day I discovered a white spot on the screen while reading a document on the tablet. I rushed to the service center to get this fixed while the warranty was valid. After a long wait for of 40 minutes I was called to the counter the entry was created and the device submitted for repair. Told it will take 12 days for the repair to complete. So I waited in the hope that I would receive a call or an email regarding the status of the repair, nothing happened for a month. I later sent an email after which I received a call saying the device is ready, strange that it gets ready in a day after I call.
A few weeks after the first repair the controls on the screen started getting activated automatically rendering the device unusable. So here I was back to the service center, to my surprise it took me 50 minutes this time to reach the counter, strange for a service center to have so many customers in queue for repair work, I realized this was no coincidence and that it was a reflection of the quality of the products. Long story short and after another months wait I received the tablet and all seemed to work fine. I was happy but my joy was short lived in a weeks time the tablet developed the same problem. Now I was sure the the quality of the repair was poor, I sent an email to support requesting for a replacement, havent heard from them since.
For a 6900/- device I was able to use it for 5 months only. So I payed approximately 1380/- for each month of usage, not very cost effective is it? Not to mention the time spent waiting at the service center and the device to get repaired. I have now decided to junk the device and go for Google or Samsung.
Dont buy this device unless you plan to use and throw it when it gets bad.
