The Karnataka folk museum, Bangalore, which is also known as the Janapada Loka is, situated about 53 kms from the city of Bangalore on the famous Bangalore-Mysore highway
The museum through its content and display aims at displaying the various aspects of Karnataka’s folk and rural life. A reason why it gives huge importance on music and dance forms. It is said that the true spirit of a place can be found in its songs and other folk lore’s.
It is managed by the Karnataka Janapadha Trust, Youll find displays of rare masks, costumes and items used in daily life and work along with extensive holdings in recorded folk music and videos of folk dances. The museum is located in Sheshadripuram, at Kumara Park West.
