Hello Everyone. I wanted to add in my two cents too. I joined in at Karrox for an longer program, thier advanced diploma in software engineering (ADSE). Their course is pretty extensive and covers a wide ranging of topics starting from comouting fundamentals to training in most recent s/w development platforms.
I wanted to pursue my IT program along with my graduation and this proved to be a good deal for me. All along I met a battery of trainers - most of whom I liked very much. some of them were quite pushy ensuring that our fundas were clear - the others gave in tons of assignments. We also had some hands-on project training through live projects. That is where everyone picked up quite a lot.
As far as course text material goes, its well organized but I still prefer reading texts in combination with course notes. A few other guys did well with the notes too.
These guys are among the few who are upfront with the placement issue with no false promises.
They offer "assistance" where ytour sent to host of interviews after course completion; however it is up to your own merit to crack it. I think the training program was pretty good a tool for finding the job - and employers respect the curriculum covered in the program. In fact , my current boss himself attended Karrox quite a few times as he moved up the career ladder.
