I just read some articles of karrox and surely would like to say something. I don’t know anyone personally in karrox and neither I have any training experience at karrox. But I know my friend Gurdeep Singh who had enrolled for a CCNP course had a real torrid time. He had enquired about CLP (Cisco Learning Partner) and perhaps at that time in 2002 karrox was said to be one.
His life became hell after he paid the fees of 1.4 lacs in May 2002 for the official course. His course was supposed to end by 8th Aug 2002 but it didn’t even start by then. And karrox kept giving funny excuse of <>labs not available from Cisco. Then they provided in writing that they will have their own lab and the course will end in the last week of October. My friend kept going every day till he got bugged up cause his course never started till October 10th. He then wrote to Cisco and they replied to contact particular person and he did and he replied to contact a particular person and so on. He kept on writing and those at Cisco who received his emails kept on writing back showing sympathy that if he has paid to a Cisco CLP, they would definitely help out but if its not Cisco CLP they cannot intervene.
Then he learnt that the Cisco instructor left the institute and the course cannot start. I cant express in words the agony, frustration and the pain Gurdeep went through. He came to Mumbai thinking of a career and here he was wasting precious time, money after a company, which just believed in grabbing as much money as they can.
When finally his batch only at that time he came to know that Karrox didn?t event have equipment to teach CCNP and they hired the routers and switches to conduct the trainings for BSCI, BCMSN and BCRAN. Further during the training the classes stopped for BCRAN. The reason now was the ISDN switch which was required for the training wasn’t available on hire. So again there was full stop on the training. The students along with Gurdeep requested the karrox people to hire or buy it. But karrox management said that the switch was costing 15 lacs and they cannot buy it.
I still feel shock sometimes to think that karrox was a Cisco CLP which neither had labs in place nor the devices to conduct trainings. They just wanted money and nothing else and after which a student goes through horrifying stages, which are perhaps, the worst experience anyone can have in their education life.
What happened with Gurdeep must be happening with a lot of other people. But those who wish to aspire into careers like this should be careful before paying such huge amounts to such companies. I can?t write in detail about what he has gone through. But he did post his horrifying experience on the net and I am submitting the link for everyone to read. So frustrated was he that he even posted every single communication he had with Cisco guys in goggle groups to share his experience. I just advise anyone to think not twice but a hundred times even before anyone thinks of walking in a karrox center.
