I would like to share my experience with karrox.
I was a student at their nagpur centre, which has unfortunately shut down last year.
As as student there I didnt have any training related problems. The people managing the centre there were very professional. But I have to say that it was mainly due to the hard work of the faculties and the owner there who maintained a high level of professionalism.
I was close to 2 of their trainers who were local trainers from nagpur and they use to work hard on the technical aspects and maintained a good rappo with students.
But unfortunately last year their boss shut down karrox and started his own business. He closed karrox cause he found karrox HO whose franchisee he was, was good for nothing.
The nagpur centre was actually awarded the best centre for 2000/2001 and immediately following the centre closed and the owner started his own training institute. I asked my friends working there who still are working there as why he didnt continue with karrox.
Firstly karrox didnt provide any good franchisee support to their franchisees. Secondly their technical team is a mess.
Let me prove this, one of the trainers from nagpur was sent to karrox head office in bombay when karrox was to launch MCSE windows 2000 across the country in their centres.
The training was conducted at their kalyan centre by one johnson who came from head office. My trainer told me that he was so bad in his knowledge of MCSE that the faculties who came from all the centres left the training in 1½ days. Yeah just 1 and half days. Imagine HO instructors who are suppose to train the trainers across the countries in competent. So what deal would students get. The instructors who came from different parts of the country were so irritated that they gave in writing to the head office that send your instructor to our franchisee center to upgrade and packed their bags and left. But unfortunately what I learnt is those franchissewere forced by the HO to sack those trainers. Imagine this was an internal training to upgrade the trainers !!!!!!!
Apart from that since I had done MCSE Win2k I have to bring to the readers notice about the illegal things in trainings which karrox does. I stick to my words here.
Now I had done a MCSE course offered by Karrox at nagpur and our books come from HO, Mumbai. This was a parallel track as the institute calls the only difference is fees. Official Course fees with Microsoft books are high and the karrox course fees are low and you dont get original books but courseware (books) designed (ops not designed, wait I will prove) by karrox.
Those karrox courseware books which I have are nothing but exact copies of original microsoft books. So they have not designed those books but copied the entire text from original microsoft books with all pictures and created their own courseware. We have compared the book except for their cover everything is the same, text, pictures etc. Only the official books have microsoft cover and karrox books have karrox cover and its small cause they might have decided to save some money by making it small and leaving out the empty spaces which is there in official books.
The students who do official course from karrox actually are cheated cause they dont know that the parallel course actually contains exact course materials. They are thiefs who copy others material to create their own books and run their business, cheating students.
An the nagpur centre had actually done a whopping business of 1 crore as per what my instructors told me in 2000/2001 and then they shut down cause the owner realised, that why should he pay royalty or franchisee renewal fees to a company who neither has technical team and further use copyrighted materials to run their business.
After this institute was closed, I mean the nagpur karrox branch. Karrox started another branch in the same building, perhaps to teach the earlier franchisee a lesson. But unfortunately I had seen an advertisement in local newspaper by their earlier franchisee that his centre was a karrox franchisee earlier and he closed it down and is now running his own centre. Further that advertisement stated that karrox has started another centre in the same building but he has nothing to do with it and that centre was earlier a ZAP centre (which had closed down abrubtly last year) and was being handled by ZAP people only.
And after going through the articles here I thought I should let the world know that they are really a cheap company. I read about one surjeet in these reviews who was exposed by divya to be a staff of karrox. He seems to be blowing a pungi all the time that what information we have is misleading. Even he cannot deny that our nagpur centre closed when it was doing peak business and perhaps the owner in nagpur taught them good lesson. But alas they dont seem to learn.
And perhaps just like nagpur, the rest of the centres will follow..!!!!!
