The last we heard about Kasauli was in the Hrithik Roshan starrer ?Koi Mil Gaya? where the most wanted alien ?Jadoo? landed.
This itself gives a proof that even an alien could not resist the scenic beauty of Kasauli, which mesmerizes your soul.
Kasauli is about 7 hours drive from Delhi, i.e it takes five hours till chandigarh which again is a must visit place and then it takes about two hours to kasauli.
The mystical environs of Kasauli will just sweep you off your feet. As you reach there you will easily come to know that why it is called tourists Paradise. The cool fresh air that blows against your face compels you to embrace it.
The first thing to do when you reach there would be to find a suitable accommodation, which is ok if you go in non-peak season but the rates touch the sky around May-July. . You can count the number of hotels available at your fingertips. It is not a densely populated palce which makes it the most sought after destination for those who want to resist the heat in cities.
One can easily go for a family suite, which will cost around 1500-1600 bucks for (two-nights) excluding the meals.
The best part about Kasauli is the fresh air, which is a rarity in cities. It is also a remedy in disguise for those suffering from Chronic Asthma and other health related problems.
There is not much to see at Kasauli as whomsoever we asked about the sight seeing places, said that there is not much to see here but only the fresh and cool breeze which is the USP of Kasauli. It is a meditation paradise for those seeking peace. The must visit place is Monkey point which is highest point of Kasauli and is an air force station. The bad part is one cannot carry any bags, camera or gadgets etc. and vehicles are allowed only till certain point. There is Hanuman Temple, which is located at a mountaintop, and one has to cover the distance on foot.
One will also find lot of snow trees which, I found most interesting as they were shaped in such a manner that when the snow fall occurs the snow does not gather on the tree but is forced to fall down from the trees because of the unique bend of the leaves.
Believe me once you visit this place, its mystical beauty will fascinate you so much that you will capture it in your heart forever.
Wish you a Happy Journey!
