I always wonder how the characters portrayed on most of the ’hindi’ serials shown on TV tend to stay fit even after 20 years that too with just a few grey strands & no wrinkles!
I would really like to know their secret.
Well coming back to the topic of discussion the ’saga’ known as ’Kasutii Zindagi Kii’ ( I wonder what that extra ’i’ is for)is going to repeat history that has been repeated by many other ’sagas’. Its going to ’jump’ 20 years ahead like most of the serials. Reason? simple! Dropping TRP’s.
Well its happened that balaji telefilms serials are loosing their peak positions.
So due to pressure from the channel to retain its top slot balaji telefilms has frequently come with unexpected twists to retain the audience who already are bored of watching same things everyday. Like example the killing of a character called Anurag & then getting him back alive! Whew! Who said a person can never be alive after he is dead.
The most common twist in the tale; it seems to be today is to ’jump’ 20 years ahead & get new characters & repeat the same story again without any novelty. Thats what precisely is going to happen in this serial.
The plot is somewhat like this:
Due to losing TRP’s the directors have decided to move the serial ahead. But then some characters abstain from playing old characters. Due to this reason the character of ’Aparna’ is killed, who says that she does not like to be seen in old characters. Initially the plot was to send ’Aparna’ to jail for her misdeeds & jump the serial 20 years get ’Aparna’ out of jail & take revenge.
Lord save the viewers!. But due to opposition of ’Aparna’ to play an oldie the plot was changed. In the new plot ’Aparna’ is killed so she can be permanently out. Just guess who kills her , no one but the the very favourite ’Prerna’ & she is then sent to jail. A nice twist but how many times the same repeatition.
After this the story moves 20 years ahead with the characters seeming as if they had aged only 20 days.Whew! I dont know when the so called ’serials’ on TV’s will stop portraying the same characters with different names but I am waiting for that day since 3 years hoping it will happen soon. I think some new genre of Film makers need to take some initiative and make serials that help people in understanding life better. No one requires such lousy soaps in which most of the time women are portrayed crying no matter what!
So now that I have revealed the plot & saved your time from getting wasted I hope to get some good RRC’s.
