The story starts with ANURAG(cezanne khan) and PRERNA(shweta tiwari), who although poles apart, fall in love with each other.
But as all indian stories have to go, the family does not approve of their marriage, and the mother of Anurag marries him with KOMOLIKA MAJUMDAR( urvashi dholakia).
Komolika who is not in love with anurag but his property after some time, tries to sue him for the entire property for abusing her. She wins the case and Anurag readily gives her the alimony to settle the claim.
Now the father of anurag (deepak qasir) who treats PRERNA as her daughter tries to marry her with anurag.
But as all the k serials have it , RISHAB BAJAJ(ronit roy)entres and takes over BASU PUBLICATION (the company of anurag). Prerna goes and makes a deal with rishab bajaj that he will return all the basu property to anurag if she will marry him. So again anurag is left without Prerna. Rishab wants prerna for taking care of his 3 children from MENAKA BOSE(ruby bhatia).
The story then spins . Prerna is slowly accepted by all the three children. Menaka then spreads a rumour that rishab is dead and arranges for the marraige of Prerna and Anurag, but he returns and again they are seprated .....
By the time another heroine APORNA (gitanjali tikkekar) entres & Anurag is forced to marry her (lucky guy married 3 times.) to save her from criticism. Now prerna and rishab bajaj try to live happily on one side and anurag and aporna on the other side . But aporna is a vamp and tries to kill anurag. Anurag then adopts shravan (son of aporna with her boy friend debu).
