Just 140 kms from Mumbai and about 37 kms from Alibaug. For non car owners, catch the catamaran services from Gate Way of India and alight at Mandva Jetty.
Their bus will take you to Alibaug town (24kms). From there you can catch an ST Bus or a rickshaw and presto there you are. Always go on week days so youll be the only soul on the limitless beaches. For pilgrimage, do visit the siddhivinayak temple @ village Nandgaon, about 8 kms from Kashid and also the Janjira Fort aka Sidhee Fort at Murud. Its way out in the sea so youll have to catch a hodi but then its really worth the time. It has its own fresh water tank right in the middle of the ocean!!!!.
So what are you waiting, get your cars or bikes out and catch the highway all the way to Alibaug and then nagaon, revdanda, Salav, Borli and off course Kashid........
