I bought the 3-user version of the Kaspersky Anti Virus 2011 program for my personal use. Loading the same on my first desk top went on smoothly and the AV became fully functional after downloading the updates. However, problems started when I tried installing the AV on my second computer. After initiating the set up, the program abruptly stopped flashing a message that the computer needed checking for viruses for which another download was suggested.
Accordingly the program / utility running some 160 MB or so was downloaded from the referred Kaspersky site and the computer thoroughly scanned by the same but no virus was found. However, the AV once again failed to install stating the same old reason that the computer needed virus removal.
The matter was referred to the customtakeouter care department of Kaspersky and Sakri IT Solutions. The executives at Sakri responded by asking for some computer data to be obtained by “getinfofile". I did exactly that but then mail to the provided address: "amrut@sakri.in" came back undelivered citing the reason “mailbox quota exceeded".
I then once again sent all the information to the Techsupport department but to no avail. The net result of this month long ordeal is that nobody at Kaspersky / Sakri has cared to redress a genuine grievance. Each time I write a mail a form response “our tech team will get back to you” comes my way and nothing happens further. A number of times I tried to make a call to the customtakeouter care but the automated response each time were "the number is temporarily out of service".
In my opinion it is not worth the effort or money to go for the said product. They are only interested in selling the program and not in customtakeouter care or after sale support.
