I think KBC (Who wants to be a MILLIONAIRE, copy) is a great show, made even greater by the presence of the great BIG B (The WAX Statue fame), Amitabh Bacchan the famous Hindi Film Star. In fact his decision to host the show was so timely as to boost his sagging image He was criticised by the media and the film goers when he played Bade Miyan with Govinda...for all the silly dancing and Govinda-type bafoonery. In fact he had even sadly admitted that he was doing unsuitable roles, which did not suit his age. Everyone thought he was making a fool of himself after having given off his best in his prime. The public and press even whispered about his commitments and his debts. THEN CAME KAOUN BANEGA CROREPATI ! And then there was no looking back ! Everything he touched had the Midas effect. Not only was the show a great succes, but so was Amitabh. A household word from Kashmir to Kanyakumari , from Maharashtra to ....(Guess the 4th Option !) Everybody loves the show and the handsome, homely, well-mannered, charismatic, worldy wise SPHINX...Amitabh Bacchan !
Who says the program is better enjoyed only by the staid elders ? Now the Big B has even started cracking jokes, real good ones , unlike (like) Govinda in the competitive show CHAPPAR PHAD KE! KBC and the Big B , both mature like slowly intoxicating wine and are addictive too! At the stroke of nine, families set everything aside to sit before the great Amitabh Bacchan, the man who rules every Indian home from 9 pm to 10 pm, monday to through thursday. After all who can dare disobey such a commanding voice telling the viewer ever so sweetly ’’Please, Please... Dont Go Away!’’
