Keep Going on a caliber

This is one bike that truly keeps you going always. No matter where and when. I bought the bike as a college student in 1999 purely for its looks. Then I realized there is more to it than the looks.

Technically the bike is a dream machine.

Engine

Displacement: 111.6 cc

Cooling : Aircooled

Power: 7.7 bhp

Total Weight: 116 kg

Tank capacity: 14.7 lts at full including 3 lts reserve

Electricals: 12 V , 40/45 W head lamps

Mileage: One of the chart Toppers on Indian bikes on this count. Of course, it wont meet the company claims with standard gravity and load conditions. Still, will deliver 60 and above comfortably.

Road Grip: The bike literally stays glued to the ground. Load balancing is so perfect that it wont swing you out of track on any tight curves at high speeds.

Breaks: Must be an extension of the road grip. The bike can break effectively at very high speeds nearing 100 kmph. Occassionally will skid. Once the rider masters the trick of equally braking front and rear breaks, no problemo

Speed: Can easily climb to 112 kmph with an average sized rider 68-70 kgs. May not be on old bikes but in the first 18 months, defenitely. Pick up is not too bad either.

Reliability: Trust her and she will take care of you always, no matter what.

Ultimately, if you want a bike which does everything you want, this is the one for you.
