KB100 still running ahead of new bikes !!!

I have just joined mouthshut.com and I am writting my first review about experience with my KB100. I am still driving KB100 bike which I had purchased in 1991. The bike was advertised like a chittah ride and I am very much satisfied with performance of my bike. It’s a good combinition of power and mileage.

No kidding, but I get mileage of 60-65 Km per litre from my bike even after 13 years of driving. Ofcourse, initially my bike used to give only 40 Kmpl but the average has improved as it clocked in more and more kilometers. Earlier I hardly used to drive my bike, just city riding and about 200 Km per month. But for the last two years I use it extensively to go to my workplace; daily driving of about 40 Km.

I would like to share the secret of getting higher mileage. I use a petrol saver packet which is available at petrol stations at Rs. 3.50/- (per packet) and mix it in 3 Lit. of petrol while filling the tank. This has really given a boost to the mileage. And ofcourse I service my bike every 4 months. No major repairs, no single puncture.....

Hope Bajaj can come up with a few, but good products like this than flooding the market with too many bikes every year .............

Looking forward to buy a new vehicle before my insurance term of 15 years gets over. Any suggestions ?? I want a bike with less maintenance, good mileage 65 to 70 Kmpl and ofcourse reasonable price tag !!
