Honestly, I was really excited to try the Kaya Hydra Cleanse Makeup Remover because I had heard that Kaya products are dermatologically tested and good for the skin. I thought I was investing in something premium and gentle, especially for removing stubborn makeup like waterproof eyeliner and matte lipstick. But sadly, my experience was completely the opposite.
The first time I used it, I took a generous amount on a cotton pad and tried to remove my eye makeup. But to my surprise, the eyeliner and mascara hardly moved. I kept rubbing and rubbing, thinking maybe I didn’t use enough product — but even after repeating the process twice, the makeup just wouldn’t come off properly. In fact, all that rubbing irritated my under-eye area and made my skin feel sore.
The worst part? After using it, my face felt sticky and not clean at all. There was no fresh or soothing feeling. I felt like I needed to wash my face again with a proper cleanser to actually feel clean. For something that claims to “cleanse and remove makeup gently, ” it completely failed in both departments.
I genuinely feel like I wasted my money. It’s not a budget product either, so I had certain expectations — but this just didn’t deliver. Maybe it works for extremely light or non-waterproof makeup, but for regular users like me who wear long-lasting makeup daily, this is not at all effective.
I really wish I had read more real user reviews before buying this. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone, especially if you have sensitive skin or wear heavy makeup.
