Is interesting that one should find this post. Just came back from Kaya in Mumbai. God it was exactly the same experience. Had gone there to get a facial, they said can get a dermatologist consultation. Of course I understood that there would be a pitch, but hell thought maybe they will get me to upgrade from package of 1200 to 2000, so can check it.
Ofcourse when the doctor saw me, I suddenly realized that I have a very damaged skin, and will need 9 sessions atleast to get it in shape. Damage after a discount would be 16K. Hell, thats a lot of money- If Kaya really wants to build a brand beyond the top niche segment which doesnt care about such amounts, it would be far better if they break packages to smaller amounts and show results.
Honestly am not willing to stake 16K and then hope results come through. Ofcourse, the way process works is that Doctor first looks at you, gives you some vague understanding of why you need package and goes out. then there is another assistant who comes in and tells you about the charges, it is then one realizes that 1200 has moved to 16000, and then when you mention whether this can be broken down to smaller pieces which show tangible results. the answer is this is the smallest package available. I guess if you have clinics in poshest places in mumbai, somebody has to foot that rent, right?
Thanks kaya, but will rather skip your routine and your products, and go to something which is bit more value for money and more importantly more transparent.
