Thanks for boring us in Jamshedpur on sunday evening(22nd March). If this is your choice of songs presented, Keep Alive will soon be DEAD.
The two biggest musical hits of the 50s were Nagin(Hemant Kumar) & Madhumati(Salil Choudhury). Any doubts Manohar? And yet not a word from you about these two music directors. Shankar Jaikishan won the Filmfare award 3 times in the 50s for Chori Chori,
Dil Apna aur preet parayi and Anari. Yet not one song from these films.
THe 60s was the era of Junglee, Professor, Kashmir ki Kali(Shammi Kapoor) the songs were all chart busters. Similarly the 70s was the era of Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh & the voice of Kishore Kumar. This is what we had wished to hear from your troop.
Manohar please pay heed to your audience, which today comprises largely of youngsters who were not even born even in the 70s. I wish you well in your future programmes, but do not distort the rich tradition of music of the golden period of Bollywood.
