The answer is a resounding NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I bought Kenstar Icecool 60L on 7th March(2017) from Bajaj Electronics Chanda Nagar, Hyderabad.
Issue 1: Just a week into using it the main console gave up and upon calling the customer care they have replaced it in a weeks time.
Issue 2: Then today(30/03/2017) when I try to turn it on, it wont start(was working fine last night). The problem I suspect could either be the replaced console or a failed motor which is pathetic considering its not even a month since I started using it.
Overall rating: 1 star.
Service & support: Ok.
Cooling & sound: When the cooler is on you have to turn up your TV volume. Cooling should be improved and noise should be under check.
Quality & durability: Great design/finish in a defective product, I believe it doesnt go through proper quality checks. You have 4 options: cool, swing, timer and speed(hi, medium & low).
Value for money: Dont buy it if you value your money.
In a nutshell dont go for remote controlled air coolers as the circuitry is cheap in comparison to ACs and it easily gives up when you have voltage fluctuations. Coolers with manual controls are the best bet especially, the local ones which last long in comparison to the branded ones.
Happy shopping.
NeoBat.
P.S: I didnt use voltage stabilizer during the 1st issue, but the 2nd time I did: even then it gave up.
