First off, the sandwich I made was really yummy. I wasn’t displeased at all with that part of this machine. The thing I didn’t like was it made an almighty mess and was difficult to clean and impossible to clean completely. I made a grilled cheese, turkey breast and tomato sandwich. Cheese melted off the bread in all directions, ran down inside the machine, out the back, and off the sides. I let it cool and then pulled the melted cheese out of the nooks and crannies it had melted into. I had to use a butter knife to separate it at the front grill plates where it ran down inside the machine. I thought I’d gotten everything till I turned it over and found greasy cheese liquid had run down inside the machine and was leaking out the bottom. I wiped off what I could but I know there is cheese residue inside the machine that I will never be able to get out. It dripped cheese grease all over my shirt as well as my counter-top. Luckily, I was smart enough to place the entire thing on a cookie sheet before I started so most of the residue ran off onto that. Makes a good sandwich, but I could have simply used a skillet and cleaned it up in less than half the time.
