Before I start this review, I would like to say that this is not a product that I own. When I had been to Chennai on a vacation a few days ago, I came across this in my Aunt’s place. So this review is based on my Aunt’s ownership and my experience with the washing machine.
I was such a fool to wear a white T-shirt while travelling in train from Mysore to Chennai. By the time I reached Chennai, the White T-shirt had many a design in black and brown. I thought I should forget this garment forever. But my Aunt had different plans. She said that I should try giving it a shot at her ’’Kenstar TumbleTop’’ washing machine. So did I. We put it for washing and off we went to MGM dizzee world. When I came back in the evening I had totally forgotten about my T-shirt. The next day I was yawning it out in the balcony when I saw a white T-shirt, a brand new one hanging. I asked my Aunt as to whose is this T-shirt and guess what! That was my soiled T-shirt. Whoooie!! I could’nt believe my eyes. All that happened was that my arm turned red, with me pinching it to ensure that this wasn’t a dream.
So, that is when I totally accepted that Kenstar TumbleTop is a wonderful machine. And I am here to throw spotlights on this tremendously capable washing machine.
The Kenstar TumbleTop comes with a wonderful design. A metal finishing whereever required and a lustre filled body, that makes it look really sparkling. The Wash-Spin-Dry Tub comes with a sophisticated technology and more so design. But with all the experience behind them, Kenstar have come a long way in designing the body of this machine. Sleek and slim, space conscious European design is all I can describe it as.
Coming to the features, I can say that you get two washing machines while you pay for one. Combining the top-loading convenience of a top-loader with the superior tumble-wash of a front-loader, the machine comes off ages in terms of washing. It gives us a great clean and also comfort in just one washing machine.
The control panel is simple. Simplicity is the best policy. It has no LED nor any complex programming. The usual timer, spinner and mode knobs. But yeah!! They are well protected from water splashing. They are sleek and easy to operate upon.
It is always preferable to wash clothes in luke warm water. But some clothes need warmer washes. In the Kenstar you can control the water temperature and have a choice of hot wash to boiling wash from 30 C to 90 C. This facility can be exploited to the fullest for cotton clothes. Like me. Now all my cotton clothing were washed up in Chennai. Very me.
You can as well vary the spin speed from 300rpm to 800rpm. Well, this enables us to moderate the speed and protect our valuable clothes from tearing. Of course, the Kenstar is not that harsh on our clothes, but materials like silk need that bit of extra care, don’t they? Another striking aspect of this washing machine is that you have the facility to change wash load midway. So, there wouldn’t be a hitch when someone like me walks in with a soiled shirt midway through wash.
With a 5 kg capacity and an affordable price, the Kenstar Tumble Top emerges the winner in the automatic machine category. What is more wonderful is its user-friendly nature. Even a novice like me can be relied upon.
The performance is awesome. Superb is an understatement. Believe me. I never believed in my white T-shirt getting restored with the name white. But for Kenstar TumbleTop the scene is completely different. Definitely it is very good on clothes and if clothes had minds, they would have thought that this washing machine is their home. Such is the wash this wonderful automatic washing machine gives. Just what the clothes need. You can get the best results with minimal detergent and a good enough maintenance like my aunt does. I strongly recommend this washing machine and kudos to Kenstar for such a product of theirs.
