Kent RO Excell Plus Water Purifier

Doesn't deserve a single star!

We installed the Kent "under the counter" system in Dec when we remodelled our kitchen. I loved the idea of a concealed purifier with a spout on the counter for continuous water supply.


However, little did we know that we will have to face so many issues in such little time! Firstly, the product has broken down 5 times since we purchased it.... including having to change the filter and the storage tank within the first 6 months itself! But the biggest issue here is the absolutely pathetic service, I mean - one can deal with an average product as long as the company provides decent after sales service, but I have NEVER seen a lousier service setup.


Each time the purifier broke down, the company took at least 3-4 days to send an engineer - so much for turn around times for an important industry like DRINKING WATER!! Isn’t after sales service super important for a product like a water purifier?? (they don’t work on Sundays either - I am surprised that a big company like Kent cannot afford to keep merely 1 or 2 engineers on call even on holidays - it’s water we are talking about!!) This would be after repeated phone calls and follow ups - everytime the thing broke down I have called them a dozen times a day - spoken with supervisors and managers and every person in between but they are as casual about providing the customer prompt service as the telephone operators picking up calls. Twice in spite of explaining the problem some 4 times on the phone, the engineer came after 2 days without the part required to fix it and took another day to return with it.


Today is the 3rd day in a row we have no drinking water - and the engineer who came said he’ll return with the part in 2 hours but has not showed up at all and has even switched off his phone! The attitude of the service staff is pathetic at best. I would not recommend this product to anyone.


I have a feeling we are going to need a replacement before the year is over.
