I had purchased Kent RO Grand from Reliable distributors (authorized dealers) in Baroda, Gujarat on 08-01-12 & my machine serial no is KR110416820. I moved to Pune & after installation, my trouble with this product started. The pump named as “Diaphragm” in the RO has black colored head which is joined to a cylinder by a screw. There is leakage of water through joint of head & cylinder in the machine.
To fix the problem I called upon their service center at following no; 020-40072832 (Aqua world, Fatima Nagar, Pune). Two service engineers arrived & they told me that black colored head of diaphragm needs to be changed along with two filters costing me Rs 2550/- along with service charge of Rs 350/- (Diaphragm head= 800, Filter=700*2=1400 & service charge =350/-). As usual any possibility of repairing is out rightly ruled out to extract maximum from customer.
I said the machine is just one year old & regularly serviced (twice in first year) & how can the diaphragm & both filter show problem? They were clueless! (Determined to charge me Rs 2550/-). If within one year a part of machine like diaphragm shows defect then isn’t this pointing towards a serious manufacturing defect & hence a flawed manufacturing process & let me tell you that I have taken utmost possible care of this very fragile product (after all I have invested Rs 15000/- in it ).
To note my protest, I came on mouthshut.com just to discover that I am just another victim in the list of customers cheated by the product & company. **There are complaints about Kent RO ( almost all models ) from everywhere in India right from Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Navi Mumbai, Bhopal etc regarding faulty product & more than pathetic after sales service, to which I completely agree & all the accusations are ABSOLUTELY TRUE!
A little bit of further reading also led me to discover numerous complaints filed against KENT RO on websites like consumercomplaints.in & consumerdaddy.com.
One thing is sure that complaints are not region specific but pan-India & almost repetitive in nature.
If Kent RO is listening to my feedback, I suggest them to seriously reconsider their manufacturing & after sales business processes, till then I sincerely suggest peoples to refrain from buying KENT RO because for now, KENT RO = DISAPPOINTMENT+FRUSTRATION!
