I am using Kent RO for last several years. In 2018 it developed some problem & water was overflowing . On checking by the technician I was advised to get the AMC done so that the minor problem can be attended and at the same time candles be also changed. I was offerred two years AMC with some discount which was agreed by me and I paid for two years AMC. At the time of offer I was told categorically that AMC would cover replacement of inline carbon filter, inline sediment filter and RO membrane once immediately and the other at my option during any time during the validity of AMC after expiry of one year. Accordingly candles were changed in 2018. The AMC is still valid and I approached service center only few days back to clean the candles. Immediately on checking the technician declared that candles need replacement and advised me to pay for candles. I showed him AMC receipt. He immediately left the place on the pretext of checking it from the records ignoring the copy of AMC receipt which I showed him. I requested him to check from the office on mobile but of no avail. He assured me that Next morning by 10.30 am it may be attended. I called the service center three times and finally by evening of next day I was assured that the RO will be attended the following day.On the third day candles were replaced.
I have observed from their attitude that on each occasion they try to sell some scheme. Lesser interest is shown in cleaning the candles and more emphasis on "Replace of candles ". To my utter surprise the AMC contract is quite ambiguous on second year AMC conditions. It only talks about first year but gives price structure of two year & three year maintenance. Since we are wedded to RO kent uptil its lifetime and water being the most priority thing, greater responsible attitude towards customers is called for.
