I am Umesh Batra and is residing in Delhi.  I had purchased a RO system of kent three years back.  During first year there was no problem with the machine and the service engineers have attended the complaint in time.  But from the next year my calls were attended rarely and a huge amount was charged from me for repair of machines. When I inquired about the AMC of machine, it was told to me that company can not take AMC.


Know my machine is not working properly again and the service engineer of Kent is demanding a huge amount for the solving the problem. Whether it is not possible that company should take AMC of their machines with all parts so that customers should be satisfied and be afraid of the huge amounts demanded by the service engineers. Or any one will provide me information about exchange offers in respect of this machine with other reputed brands.

Mouthshut.com has helped me to resolve my problem from Kent RO System and the AMC of my system was done by the firm, for which I say thanks to mouthshut.com as my complaint was given due response.


But unfortunately my RO system has stopped working in the evening of 11/1/2012.  I had made a complaint to Kent on 12/1/2012 at around approx 9-30AM.   My complaint was registered and the complaint number provided to me was 103208 and was assured that the complaint will be attended with in 24 hours.   But no one has attended the call.


Then again I contacted kent on 13/1/2012 at around 9-40AM and it has been informed to me that the complaints are attended with in 24 working hours, however, the same has been placed as urgent in view of my reminding call.  I waited for the day and in evening at around 5-00 PM I again contacted Kent and informed them that no one has attended the complaint and again requested for an urgent action being I had paid the amount of AMC and it’s the responsibility of kent to look after the complaint at the earliest.  But no way and the complaint was also not attended on that day.


During these days I had spent approx Rs. 150/- per day to purchase mineral water from open market for drinking and cooking purpose.  On 14/1/2012, I had again purchased mineral water from open market and at around 5-00PM, I again contacted Kent and informed them that inspite of expiring 24 working hours no body has turned up to attend my complaint.  They have provided me the number of Mr. Aditya Jain and request me to call him and inquire about complaint no D11-251526.  I had contacted Mr Aditya Jain and inquired about my complaint and he has informed that the same is with the service engineer.


I informed him that I am purchasing the mineral water from open market and spent a lot of money on this account and also that if I had paid the amount for AMC then it’s the responsibility of their company to look after the complaint with in a reasonable time.  He has assured me that he will look after the complaint and will talk to service engineer for early disposal of complaint. At around 5-40PM, I had received a telephonic call from the service engineer and he has informed me that he had come to my home and there was a girl like maid around 15-16 years, who had informed him that no body is at home so he had returned back without solving the problem.  I told him that there is no young servant in my house further only one lady around 40-45 years is working at my home.


And also my wife is government servant and is ill and is on bed rest since last three days then how he says that he has attended my house.  He was talking a lie as my wife was not well during the last three days and was available in the house 24 hours.  I had requested him to kindly attend my complaint today itself as I had already spent a lot of rupees on purchase of mineral water. But no way, my complaint was not attended till I am expressing my views on mouthshut.com. The staff of kent is harassing me by not attending the complaint and not restoring my RO system in proper working condition only due to that I had brought some facts to the knowledge of higher authorities of kent during my previous complaint.


I think that I had purchased the RO system of a firm who is not capable to vigilant about their staff and left the customer to suffer more and more. I had paid an amount of Rs. 4855/- to kent vide cheque no.151022 on 3/1/2012 against the replacement of defective parts and AMC of RO system. But now I think that I had made a guilty by accepting the requests of managers of Kent made to me telephonically that they will look into the matter and I will not suffer more.

I had posted my request on mouthshut.com on 15/1/2012.  in response to my submission, the service engineer of kent had reached my home in the morning of 16/1/2012 and my the problem was solved by him. The engineer of company was a very soft spoken person and also satisfy me about the issue.
