I have just returned from a 10 days vacation from Kerala and let me tell you, this is the best time to visit this place. Temperature falling and mansoon hitting.
Its no doubt the greenest place we have in our country.
Few highlights you should not miss and plan for -
Munnar - beautiful hill station, full of tea gardens, best I have seen so far.
Thekkedy - Periyar wildlife sanctuary. I would suggest you go for trekking rather than usual boat ride available there.
Kumarakoam - famous for back water. Dont miss the bird sanctuary via small boat. And dont forget to wear a cap and full sleves clothes while going to this place. It will prevent you from birds shit.
Kovalam - the cleanest and beautiful beaches.
Kanyakumari - this place has its own charm and morning and evening walks are very pleasures.
I would not suggest Cochin and Trivandrum.
If you are pure vegetarian, you will face food problems. In this case better to carry as much as you can.
