We visited mt. abu in this august and since we went without booking we ended up with a "so called" heritage hotel called as kesar bhawan palace hotel in mt.abu. the room was ok with good scenic beauty outside of mountains and wind flow was also good. now comes the real story. there is no hot water coming there in freezing morning.
There are no phone connections to restaurant only to reception and he takes your order. and the phone only worked on the first day. the rest whole day the phone was not working so we were giving orders shouting from our room. the person who sits on the reception is tip eating person.
He just showed us the terrace overlooking the city and he immediately asked my husband that we have to make him happy by paying a tip and that we shouldn’t tell this to anyone call him in room and give him. for that he gave us complimentary breakfast. it was shocking.
When we were about to leave he was given a tip outside the hotel coz every time I was calling for placing a order he would ask if he can come inside now to get his tip. the staff is non professional. its not at all warm to stay as ur welcome is not at all warm welcome.in short better to stay anywhere else in abu...but never in kesar bhawan palace.
