1st and Last Tour with Kesari Tours,Dont Recommend

We completed our 8 Days / 7 Nights tour to Nainital, Mussoorie and Corbett park from 21 Mar-28 to Mar’2017.

This is the first time we were travelling with Kesari and I would like to mention that overall experience is Not satisfactory and Not Value for Money.

Complaints:

•   On 21 Mar’17 at night, we reached to Mussoorie at “Tulip Inn Green & Breeze Hotel”

(Room No. 211). One of the Hopeless Hotel, We have ever seen. Following are the facts:

1.After long tiring journey of 2 days from Mumbai, we wanted to take wash but water was very chilled. There was no indication on taps about hot / cold water. We tried ourselves, finally we called and requested housekeeping to visit our room and guide us but they gave verbal instructions to rotate it left / right. We kept calling & waiting for housekeeping, but nobody turned up. Then we called room service, but same experience. Finally it was 11.30 pm, so we washed our face with chilled water and slept. Mind it, we were with our kids.

2.Since room floors were very cold and it was difficult to walk on them, we asked Room Service if they can provide some sleepers etc., answer we got was no, but the way of talking was little rude.

3.After such a long journey, mobiles were almost discharged. We were looking for charging points and from so many points, we could only find 1 point where we could insert the charger. All mobiles were discharged so finally I had to remove the TV plug and use that socket.

Throughout our stay there, we could not watch TV as we wanted to charge our mobiles. We had to explain and stop our children watching TV when they are on holiday. Isn’t it ridiculous?

4.Next day morning, similar experience, there was no hot water. It was early wake up call from Kesari Tour Leader. Kesari tour representative also checked our room and he also realized that there is no hot water. He called hotel guys many times but even he had to struggle with the hotel service. Then finally hotel arranged 3-4 buckets of “warm” water for us.  But that day, We could not freshen up our youngest child as water was “warm” and not “hot”. Then after some investigation, they found out that geyser somewhere outside the rooms was not working.

Isn’t it their duty to keep everything in order before guest checks in?

What for we pay for?

5.Later that day, after sightseeing at Mussorie, we came back to our room. I wanted to have some water so picked up the jar. I found it light in weight so I realized that Hotel guys did not bother to refill it when they cleaned the room. To my good luck, I just opened it and was horrified looking into it. There was a 1 cm thick layer of dirt in it. I immediately took the photographs and called Kesari Tour Manager Mr. Kishor Sonavane and Mr. Vaibhav Mangela.  They were also stunned to see this and immediately went to talk to Hotel. Is this the kind of Hotel Kesari chooses for their Guests?

Photos are attached herewith.

We all were drinking the same water since last night. We felt the different taste but we never thought of opening the jar and check as we never seen such a pathetic hotel in my life. Lodges / Dharamshalas must be better than this type of hotel.

What Kesari or Hotel would have done in case of serious illness of any of my family member drinking this water?    Is it any play with Guests Health?

6.Cupboards were not clean. We had to clean our clothes before packing and check out.

7.When we went to sleep on the bed at the upper floor, we found previous guest’s bhujia packet was lying behind the wooden furniture. That shows what kind of housekeeping they do after check out of rooms. I am sure it is still lying there, you may confirm with hotel.

8.When we occupied the room, bottles of shampoo etc. in the bathroom were half used. But after the incident of drinking water, we did not dare to use any shampoo not even tea / coffee bag

9.Hotel was under renovation. Play area had carrom, table tennis board which were full of dust.

10.Somehow we managed to spend first 2 nights of our trip in this worst, pathetic, disgusting, terrible, filthy kind of hotel.

Satisfactory Points:

1.Kesari Tour Manager and Tour representatives  were quite cooperative, prompt, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and kind to all the guests. We appreciate their service.

2.Complimentary snacks were good.

3.Hotel Palace Belvedere at Nainital was quite good at service.
