Stick to the sketches harry

May I first say that I love Harry Enfield and his sketches but that is where he should draw the line. Kevin the teenager was a funny sketch and it was well done by Harry and Kathy Burke but not funny enough for a feture lenght film. My sister went to the pictures to see this and came home raving about it. I knew then that it was probably a load of dribble. I waited until it came on front row to watch this, I didn’t want to rent it out of global for the fear of someone seeing me hiring it. I punched in my pin number and sat back with my popcorn and coke and waited for the laughter to follow. There was no laughter from me well maybe a few grins here and there but nothing to giggle about. I thought it was the biggest load of rubbish I had watched in a long time.

The film is based on Kevin and Perry’s trip to Ibiza and what they got up to. It was alright to start with Kevin decides that in order to loose his cherry they must go to Ibiza where the girls are gagging for it and they try to raise the cash to go by doing odd jobs and busking. They come across kevin’s fathers new credit card and while in the bank trying to withdraw money from it they stop a robbery in progress and the bank rewards them therefore financing there trip. It was full of smut and inuendo not that I don’t like a bit of smut now and again I do but this was gutter material.

It nearly made me sick as well there is one scene where the girls that Kevin and Perry were chatting up were getting ready for the evening and a full on spot bursting and defuzzing event went on. The last straw at that point was when they squeezed there pussy bellybuttons eewwwwee. I wouldn’t recommend watching this film to anyone unless you like that sort of toilet humour but I think with Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke’s talents they should definately stick to other things and stay away from turning great comedy sketches into gross and unfunny films.
