KFC at Chembur is in the KStar mall. It is a very tiny section that looks more like a stall at exhibitions. The seating is closely packed and not verey comfortable. While the place is usually less crowded at morning hours, it tends to get overcrowded and noisy as evening advances. The ambience is just average and there is nothing remarkable about it that is worth mentioning.
Initially the quality used to be really good at this mall, but has started to decline since the last two years. I think this is mainly because of lack of staff. There are very few resouces to atten dto customers over here. Despite KFC claims to compete with Mc Donald’s, it nowehere close in the competition; whether it is the quality of food or service.
The staff is very slow and they don’t normally understand your order, thereby goofing up. Although they are willing to rectify their mistake, it takes alot of time and increases the waiting time of the customers in the queue. I have had a bad experience of mango crusher, where the cookie chips were not at all crisp, but were soft due to poor storage conditions, and neither replacement nor refund was provided to me.
