This review is strictly for the KFC branch in Bangalore. Kentucky Fried Chicken was one of the good outlets in Bangalore. It started with great enthusiasm and some amount of controversy from the politicians in bringing about american food into India.
This increased the branchs popularity and people started floating in to have a look into what was the hip hop hype about....
I was one of the many drifters who loved food. The food was amazing. A plate of burgers with coleslaw salad, mashed Potato french fries and a piece of bread would come up to approximately about 69/- some five years back.
I became a big fan of KFC. I used to take my friends from India and abroad and well they were not disappointed. Everyone wondered about the recipe of the chicken and the ambience added to the popularity... Old country music on FM playing while you were munching on a big piece of chicken. The burgers were massive and enough to fill your stomach.
Well since the past two years KFC has deteriorated considerably. They have Indianised the menu and they no longer serve good meal. The prices have gone up but quality has hit an all time low.
Now the same dish which I wrote about burgers comes sans the salad, bread, french fries and mashed potato. Instead they have introduced Burger , chicken and Pepsi for 89/-.
The next point which is very important is the quality of food. Many a times I have seen spices smeared on the chicken which were raw and not cooked. It did not sit well with my stomach. Many a times I found the chicken pieces dripped in oil which does not seem to be healthy. The ambience also has become very techno based.. they play all the remixes which are very jarring when you are eating... the service is also not that great.. Napkins not available ... sauces are not there on the counter... etc etc... no customer satisfaction....
I would rather prefer to have a pizza at Dominos instead of going to this place.
I would suggest you try this place out if you want to ... but its definitely not on my places-to-eat list.:):)
