KGF was released in five languages. It is a complete period drama and is set in the 70s and early 80s. Yash plays the role of Rocky, a slick and a suave person of the 70s era. Apart from Yash and Srinidhi, some of the Kannada actors include Ananthnag, Malavika Avinash, Achyuth Kumar, Vasishta N Simha and B Suresha. Ramya Krishna and Nasser are expected to join in later schedule.
The teaser of KGF was released on the Yash birthday ( 8 January 2018) . The trailer was released on 9 November 2018.
