In my bid to buy products of Indian made, I rampaged Khadi and Patanjali stores in my city and got hold of face washes, body washes and what not? The happiness I experienced is ethereal. The packaging is simple, but quite boring; I mean all the bottles are the same. Be it face washes, body washes, moisturizers, etc. Product comes in a transparent plastic bottle, with a flip cap that shuts click, which is not too sturdy. It can be considered travel friendly though it’s a bit bulky.
The hair oil is a deep green colored oil it looks black from the bottle, and the texture is quite thin. It is not at all greasy in fact it feels light. I think it is non-sticky. It has some herbal-ly fragrance, which is not bothersome at all. My hair does not feel heavy on application and also feels non-sticky. I apply it a night before shampooing, it moisturizes my dry hair and nourishes my scalp to an extent. My scalp looks healthy and nourished after shampoo.
s it claims, my hair did not miraculously grow long and lustrous and this is my second bottle. I rarely abuse my hair, with styling tools, so I am currently not having any hair loss or split ends. I don’t know if it’d work for such problems as it claims. My only issue with this hair oil is that it takes a lot of effort to be completely rid of the scalp and hair. I require atleast two rounds of shampoo, maybe because I have a habit to apply a little more than required.
Since I found the texture runny, I wonder if it may have mineral oil; they also have the same products with the tag ‘mineral oil and paraben free’ at a higher price. Other than that I love this hair oil, even though it hasn’t shown any miraculous effects on my hair. No complaints though.
Pros of Khadi Bhringraj Herbal Hair Oil:
Herbal ingredients.
Nourishes the scalp and hair.
Non-greasy.
Does not feel heavy on hair.
Fragrance is not bothersome.
Not tested on animals.
Cons of Khadi Bhringraj Herbal Hair Oil:
Boring packaging.
Bit difficult to completely rinse.
Doesn’t promote hair growth.
I would definitely recommend it, it has good ingredient list and nourishes the scalp to an extent. It is worth a shot. I would try some other variant when this gets over.
