Chiranjeevi delivers exactly what made him a megastar in Tollywood. His dialogue-delivery is brilliant and he dances
and fights in his inimitable style. But its sad to see him doing the same thing he was doing 15 years ago. At a time
when contemporary stars are pushing the envelope and experimenting with inventive cinema, Chiranjeevi continues
with a song-and-dance-and-fight role. to his credit, the megastar looks in excellent shape for a person in his sixties, but
he would do well to take a leaf out of Amitabh Bachchans book and try to do films like Paa or Piku. Kajal Aggarwal,
on the other hand, is reduced to an inconsequential role. Even the antagonist Tarun Agarwal has little to do in this
one-man show. Ali and Brahmanandam provide some comic relief, especially Brahmanandam in his role as Doberman!
Khaidi NO.150 has all the tropes of a beaten down abot the farmers. The stalking, harassing until a fateful incident
that spotlights the hero’s heart of gold, leading the heroine to fall for him. It’s all there. However, as boring as the
film’s story is, the screenplay, the treatment has its heart in the right place. And the comedy does get you cracking up
quite often.
The background music adds to the already overly built up scenes in the film. By the end of the film you won’t be able
recall if there was any scene where Chiru make an entry in slow motion and thumping BGM. All for a light-hearted
love story seems a little much, but it blends into the entire OTT theme of the movie.
Khaidi NO.150 is incredibly predictable. If not for Chiru comedy timing and skill to keep audiences glued to the seats,
the movie would have had nothing much to offer. Set that aside, and it would border on boring. Khaidi NO.150 rides
on Chiru and nothing more. Watch it for him.
Devi Sri Prasad, top music director in the industry currently, once again comes out with soothing bgm and melodious
tracks. The soundtrack remains interesting and overall, the music is one of the highlights of the film — along with some
excellent songs. The dialogue is entertaining and provides some laughs. The cinematography too deserves special
mention.
I really wonder the thought process of so called film critics. Before making comment on any film which involve lot of
financial stakes, they should understand the risks in it. People will never read your reviews before going to any movie.
Even if we give 2/5 or 3/5 rating, khaidi no 150 can have potential to become all time blockblockbuster.
