After a long time I have seen a movie where, for a change, our Police force has been glorified instead of the bhais (underworld dons) who usually steal the show in movies like Vaastav and so on. Khakee presents the viewer with an unusual character of the police force, dedication and loyalty. The movie does expose the flaws of the force, such as corruption and non-intrest in work. Overall, Khakee is a must see once, as it a movie quite well made. Now, I will write about the performances of the actors
AMITABH BACHAN:
Mr.Bachan as usual as delivered with great acting, expressions and emotions in the movie. He totally involves you into the movie, and reveals the heart of a Police Officer. A job well done!
AJAY DEVGUN:
Ajay Devgun, I feel, has done the best job in this movie. Despite his dialouges not being much, he has played the negative role quite well, as he has spoken through his eyes. When you see him, and especially his eyes, you will understand what he wants to do, and how a mind of a fugitive works.
AKSHAY KUMAR:
Being a serious storyline, a place for a comedian would be a mismatch in this film. But, as usual, Akshay Kumar has fitted his adventureous and comic role quite well in this movie, with another actor, it would be out of place. His character is very versatile in this movie, going from comic to romantic, emotional or very serious.
ATUL KULKARNI:
This actor is not all that well known as the biggies mentioned above, but once again he proves his capablities despite having a role not so vocal. He plays a victimised Doctor, and has done quite well at it.
AISHWARIA RAI:
The bombshell has a very less visualised, yet very important role, played okay.I personally think she should still act in the Love flicks, as they only suit her well.
LARA DUTTA:
Shes there only for a song, but a song thats very entertaining and sexy. Her Aisa Jadoo Chaaya Re song spices up the movie and is a good diverson to see.
The direction is good, with not long songs, good dialouges and screenplay. But its a bit over streched, yet a movie that will be remembered for a while, especially by the Policemen, if they see it.
