I have already warned you that I am a fully faltu movie freak...Anyways, Khakee is a watchable, entertaining movie. Mr. Amitabh Bachchan yet again proves that he is an actor par excellence.The comic relief is provided brilliantly by Akshay Kumar. His capers enhance the appeal of the movie. His Cad persona is balanced wisely by the quiet strength of Tusshar Kapoor.Aishwarya Rai is looking remarkably different.Guess, she changed her makeup man.She is looking prettier and her vile shines through.Rajkumar santoshi is an actor’s director. His movies are extremely enjoyable irrespective of their box-office status. Ajay Devgan as the bad gun in this particular movie seems deadly(Literally). In this movie, realism loses its track. But this attempt to expose the hideous political nature of our country is commendable. There was a news piece which elaborated on why Raj Kumar Santoshi chose Mr. Bachchan...On Rekha’s recommendation??? Nothing could be more hilarious...That piece rightfully expounded virtues of India’s senior superstar...Coming back to Khakee, this movie deals with varied shades of law and order wing unapologetically. As far as songs are concerned, RajKumar Santoshi knows the pulse of his audiences.Songs although brief are thoroughly paisa vasool...You must watch the songs for the effects...Action is definitely Raj Kumar’s forte. As for the rest of the cast, every single character artiste performed exceptionally well. The sad and abrupt demise of Akshay left me heart-broken...And I thought that the movie would lose its steam...Yet the climax is well-projected and reflects strongly on the apathy of our system...Vastly distinct from movies like ’Shool’, Khakee is a strong statement. The director of this movie deserves kudos for making manifest duality of police force...If corrupt policemen exists in large numbers then honesty persists in confined numbers. Jaya Prada was for real.She deserves praise for handling her role well.I can pen limitless words in favour of Khakee...But to be fair I must comment on its unrealism at many junctures in the movie. How to handle corrupt system and how to survive it are the twin queries that shall forever remain with me...
