Dipak Tijoris Film khamosh-Khauff ki Raat is meant to be a thriller....
Unfortunately there are very fewthrilling moments in this whodunnit film..
The story revolves around the happenings at a Motel(located in the middle of nowhere) on a stormy night!
We are introduced to the various characters who arrive there for some weird reason or the other....they include the Receptionist (Vrajesh Hirjee), a couple & their child who arrive there because the wife has been knocked down by a car, a Film heroine Kashmira (Rakhi Sawant) & her secretary Avinash, a married couple(Rajat Bedi & Kainaz) and a cop Jatin(shawar Ali) who is escorting a dreaded killer (kelly Dorjee) to another prison & is forced to take shelter there...as well as a prostitute Sonia (shilpa Shetty)...
from then on, the killer somehow escapes n the characters start getting killed one by one....and panic sets in..it is revealed that some of the characters are not who they seem to be.....
even though the murders are supposed to send a chill down the spine of the viewers , they fail to do so....the viewer loses interest in proceedings after a while.
The performances from the Cast are quite ordinary & no one manages to come up with an award winning performance...
there is no hero as such in the film...Shilpa Shetty looks good as usual but there are no songs in this film for her to show off her dancing skills...Juhi Chawla puts in a guest appearance...Rakhi Sawant is only required to show off her cleavage in a brief role....
the pace of the film is thankfully not slowed down by songs...thats one positive aspect of this film....However it suffers from a weak script & ordinary performances...
All in all it just doesnt pack a punch
